Before you build your opt-in list, you must have something in place to keep subscribers interested. Here are some suggestions for your autoresponder emails.
Mini Ecourse – This is definitely at the top of the list for effectively using your autoresponder to provide information to your audience to keep them educated and interested. You can create the ecourse yourself or hire a freelance writer to do it for you. You'll want to have continuing segments of information that just load all into your autoresponder setting the desired intervals between lessons. The beauty is that you only need to do this once, and your autoresponder will continue to send out the course to each new subscriber you attract.
A critical factor to consider when creating a mini-course is to keep each message loaded with content and close each segment with a peek at what to expect in the next issue. Remember, if you are providing interesting and informative content, your audience will read through to the end and be enticed by the prospect of your next issue.
For instance, "Well, that's it for today. In the next installation I'm sharing my do's and don'ts for implementing a crushing Google AdSense revenue stream.
Finally, as your course concludes, you can direct to a free report or even another ecourse if you're up to it. Or maybe it would be a good time to offer them a limited time offer that you are only providing to your loyal subscribers.
Publish a newsletter – This again is an extremely effective use of an autoresponder. You create or have created for you several issues at a time. Then load them into your autoresponder to be sent weekly, bi-weekly or whatever you choose. This frees you up for the good life of your choosing. Your publication will be delivered on time, issue after issue, a real stress reliever.
Segments From An eBook – If you have an eBook that you choose to sell, you can load some interesting tidbits from the ebook, or a special report that is created from the information in your ebook, into your autoresponder and send it out to your subscribers . Closing the message with the information that what they have just read is a small selection of what they will receive when they purchase your ebook.
If you have affiliates, then set up Affiliate Training – It's a terrific aid for your affiliates. Enabling them to make more money by providing them with valuable promotional and marketing tips and information every week.
And finally announcements – For ongoing correspondence, use your autoresponder to let people know what is currently hitting the market. This could be new software that cuts hours out of your work week, updates to your website, a current blog post, or what's hot in the forum.
I hope you find these suggestions useful. This is just a sampling of the various uses for an autoresponder. You should decide on one or two and start loading your autoresponder so you'll be ready when the crowd arrives. As you gain experience, you'll probably develop innovative ways to keep your audience informed and interested.
What counts is that you implement them whenever you can. Keeping in constant contact is critical to keeping your audience.
